This is the story of the first fleet, under the command of Captain Arthur Phillip. Filmed on location in Portsmouth and at the fleet's ports of call, the enormity of the hardships faced by the fleet becomes evident and the eventual landing at Port Jackson and establishment of the new colony completes one of the greatest maritime expeditions ever undertaken.
