The story of the development of penicillin by Howard Florey, who brought a new approach to research when he became Chair of the Dunn School of Pathology at Oxford.
His team of brilliant scientists, Ernest Chain and Norma Heatley struggled to find a pharmaceutical company to manufacture the drug. Eventually the government gets behind the drug but the credit goes to Alexander Fleming.
