7 Wonders of China - Shi Bao Zhai Temple

Resting against a 30 metre high rock, the twelve story red pagoda of Shibaozhai is a miraculous feat and a product of extreme engineering and spiritual dedication.

The structure shows the limitless capacity of humankind to make their wildest imaginings a reality. In spite of it being an imposing and towering structure, the temple only has three sides and was designed to lean against the cliff for support.

This series explores the history of 7 wonders of China. It follows the engineers and emperors behind the wonders, tracing their work and depicting the human stories behind their creations. It is a stunning celebration of man's ingenuity and resolve.
