4077 - Stylin' Up (Message Stick)
Since its inception in 2001, a unique Indigenous hip-hop and RnB festival called 'Stylin' Up' has unearthed new musical talent, expanded to two stages and now includes regional Indigenous communities.
It is based in the south-western Brisbane suburb of Inala where nearly eight percent of residents living are Indigenous. Over the years, the suburb's endured negative press and unwarranted stereotypes so the community banded together to create 'Stylin' Up'.
It now attracts more than 10,000 spectators.
